I am Sharon Nielsen and I have been working as a biometrician (consulting statistician) for the past 17 years and am now an accredited statistician with the SSAI. I have had the privilege of working in partnership with researchers from many different discipline areas, providing statistical support and advice. I have also developed several training workshops where the focus is on students developing practical statistical skills. I am the co-author on more than 40 peer reviewed journal articles, where I have been the sole contributor of the statistical content. On many occasions, I have helped researchers take their publications from unpublishable to publishable - just by analysing the data appropriately and explaining the statistical methodology correctly.
